PSN problem. PS4 keeps saying PSN is under maintenance even though PSN status website says everything is up and running.
The latest update from Sony is that PSN servers are still down for most core services but the good news is that the overall number of maintenance errors and sign in problems being reported have dropped.
According to Sony, gamers across PS4, PS Vita, PS3 and PS Web “May have some difficulty signing in or creating an account on PlayStation Network. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
The outage latest message from Sony reads: “You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
The PSN site also confirms that other core services like PlayStation Now have been affected by tonight’s server problems.
From what has been shared so far by gamers, this current outage is a global problem and is affecting login and server access across multiple countries.
One user writes: “Is anyone else getting PlayStation network maintenance on their PS4s? My PS4 and my husband’s console are both saying the same thing. Kinda frustrating.”
“I Went to play Warframe and am being told I can’t sign in.”
It’s unclear what has caused tonight’s maintenance outage or how long it might last, but Sony has had a good track record of sorting out issues quickly in recent months.
